What have I done to this blog? After having my Adsense account suspended or should I say terminated, I've neglected this blog. I'v lost all the motivation to update-to blog.

This is my first ever blog. I regret that I started out with blogdrive. And the list of regrets goes on. However, I find it weird because I've been thinking if deleting this blog but I just can't do the final click. Something's holding me back. It's good to know that this blog still has some visitors. It has been dormant for over 3 months.

I'll try to regain some love for this blog.

Herbalife

Somebody invited me through text to a seminar on Herbalife or Herbal Life. The Herbalife International is one the prominent Herbal Nutrition Network worldwide. The company offers a wide array of products ranging from vitamins, supplements, and products catering various diseases.

Going back to the seminar, it was very inviting. The participants were from different walks of life and age bracket. We were given snacks which is really important in those kind of seminars. The people were very warm and jolly. They kept the crowd alive and participative. They had all the positive things to say about Herbal Life products and in being a sales agent/representative. The facilitators boasted their paychecks in dollars, mounting to at least a hundred thousand. It is a good income generator for students, and other people looking for extra income. But the job takes intense work and courage. One has to be very good in communicating to the public.

I enjoyed the seminar. However, they failed to convince me to participate in the next session and into the program. I don't think the scheme fits me. I don't think I'd be an effective sales agent for herbal products.

Binoculars or field glasses are two identical or mirror-symmetrical telescopes mounted side-by-side and aligned to point accurately in the same direction, allowing the viewer to use both eyes (binocular vision) when viewing distant objects. Most are sized to be held using both hands, although there are much larger types.

Unlike a monocular telescope, binoculars give users a three-dimensional image: the two views, presented from slightly different viewpoints to each of the viewer's eyes, produce a merged view with depth perception. There is no need to close or obstruct one eye to avoid confusion, as is usual with monocular telescopes.

Real Binoculars are quite expensive, especially those astronomical types and for military usage. It's fun to play around with this gadget.

Anyways, while doing this entry, I remembered the song "Deep" by a band name Binocular. Up to now, a lot of people who know this song still do not know the meaning of the song.hehehe That includes me.

Mozilla Firefox 3

Just got my web browser tools upgraded. I'm now on Mozilla Firefox 3. Unfortunately, I missed the Firefox 3 Download Day the it's better late than never. hehehe

I have read several articles about what's new and what's good with FF3. The most striking so far is it's improved performance, way above IE 7. According to Firefox engineers the third major release is 9.3 times faster than Internet Explorer 7 in JavaScript performance, and 2.7 times faster than Firefox 2.

There are minimal noticeable changes in terms of the interface. I'm pretty sure I'd see and feel the difference with this new release as days go by.

Meanwhile, I'm looking for a spunky hat and sun glasses because of my class schedule. My class ends at 1PM and 10 PM (different days). I'm on the road when the sun is on a high.

Typhoon Frank

Typhoon "Frank" is currently hitting Visayas and Luzon with its strong winds and heavy rains. Classes in the affected areas had to be suspended because of the massive destruction of the typhoon.

Despite heavy rains, people in Davao City are still lucky(at least for now) because we do not experience such destructive typhoons. It's raining almost every afternoon causing floods in the city streets, some subdivisions, and places located on river sides.

Filipinos are not just coping with the high prices of basic commodities including the price of gasoline and rice but "Marias and Juans" are also dealing with the wrath of nature.

2058: Internet No More

With the birth of new-age technology we said goodbye to old fashioned way of living. Goodbe to manual implementations. Everything is automated or digital, "just a click away." A good example are our appliances. No more tough hand washing because we now have washing machine with dryer. Food preservation has become an ease with compact refrigerators and freezers. Almost everything in our homes have been made easy.

Now how about saying goodbye to the Internet?! I learned from my professor today that the Internet is "dying." 50 years from now the that word is history. Ow well, it's not that surprising because of the unpreditictable things that science gives us. The Internet will die because of it's growing body. The number of Internet user grows at a very large rate daily. Depletion of available IP address would be one cause of its death.

What's mind buggling is, what's next after the Internet? With the benefit it brings to the living world, the technology will definitely be sustained. Japan is already researching on possible mediums that would replace the Internet.

hmmm.. 50 years, I'll be 72 years old by then. I wonder if I'd still be sitting on a computer by then.
