"Web 2.0" is more than just the new trends in web lay-out and graphics design. After reading an article from O'reilly about web 2.0, it seems that Web 2.0 is simply a label for all the latest and hottest things over the web.
After seeing some examples of web 2.0 designs, I was eager to do some lay-outs with my touch of "web 2.0." It wasn't hard for me to follow the guidelines or trends for 2.0. The 2.0 style actually fits my preference and so I really had fun playing around with photoshop.
I encourage everyone to read about web 2.0. You wouldn't wanna be left behind right?
It was a busy day for me busy not because of my work. It's because of the announcement of the December 2007 Nursing Licensure Examinations. Everyone got intensified when a press release was posted at inquirer.net saying that the PRC will definitely publicized the results today, Thursday 21st of February.

I have been puzzled for over a week now whether to buy a DVD writer or not. Someone is selling to me a brand new Super-WriteMaster™ DVD Writer for 1.7k, 1 year warranty. That's roughly 300 pesos less than the price in computer stores (although I found 1 store in bonifacio, selling it at the same price but only 6 months warranty).
At the moment, I'm using Lite-in CD-RW courtesy of Pon through sondjoe. I want it replaced for sure because I want everything to be brand new. I am just confused if I should go for the DVD-RW or just a combo drive. The Samsung or Lite-on combo drive (DVD/CD-RW) costs 1.150k, 1 year warranty (Byteworld). In terms of purpose, I think a combo drive would be enough. I am not really into burning DVDs. But certainly, I need a DVD-ROM for installers in DVD format.
Anyways, I'll have this puzzle solved most probably by next week.
Filipinos who are longing to have their faces fixed need not to go for face lifts in Maryland or other places abroad. Facial centers are everywhere in the Philippines today, especially in Metro Manila. Headed by the famous rivals, Belo Medical Group and Calayan Surgicenter, beauty centers have swiftly multiplied. Despite of the high cost of different body surgeries, the increase in the number of surgicenters proves that the business is a hit here in the country!
Soon, I'm sure these facial or body surgicenters will invade Davao City. What we have at present here in Davao are only facial centers offering body massage, facial care, foot spa, pimple and wrinkle treatment and other stuff but not to the extent of major cosmetic surgical operations and other dermatological surgery.
Belo Medical Group and Calayan Surgicenter are heavy rivals in the field of dermatology. I find it funny when artists thank their sponsors during the end of their shows. One will say "thanks to Dra. Vicky Belo", the head of Belo Medical Group, while the other one says Dr. Manny and P. Calayan. ehehehe It has been a peaceful rivalry though. These two are the only names you'll here from the celebrities before, but now, there are plenty of new names.
I haven't tried having a facial treatment. I only had body massage and foot spa before.
I saw this title on a site, "San Diego living trust attorneys and lawyers." hmmm, it made me wonder if there is any difference between an attorney and a lawyer. My understanding is that the two are the same. Anyways, it triggered me to do a little research to seek for the truth!hahahaha I hope I'm not the only one who's confused with the two. (shame on me!)
Here's the definitions from answers.com
Attorney - noun. A person legally appointed by another to act as his or her agent in the transaction of business, specifically one qualified and licensed to act for plaintiffs and defendants in legal proceedings.
Lawyer - noun. One whose profession is to give legal advice and assistance to clients and represent them in court or in other legal matters.
hmmm. still quit confusing. Anyway, let's clarify it. Got this from Dictionary.com Word FAQs
"Lawyer is a general term for a person who gives legal device and aid and who conducts suits in court. An attorney or, more correctly, an attorney-at-law, is a member of the legal profession who represents a client in court when pleading or defending a case. In the US, attorney applies to any lawyer. In the UK, those who practice law are divided into barristers, who represent clients in open court and may appear at the bar, and solicitors, who are permitted to conduct litigation in court but not to plead cases in open court. The barrister does not deal directly with clients but does so through a solicitor. The word attorney comes from French meaning 'one appointed or constituted' and the word's original meaning is of a person acting for another as an agent or deputy. A solicitor would be the UK equivalent of the US attorney-at-law."
The Chicago Bulls is among the struggling teams in the NBA this season. I really wonder what's wrong with the team. They didn't have much changes on their roster from last season and yet, the team is performing way beyond expectations. They currently hold a record of 18 wins and 27 defeats, 10th overall in the East. They are not yet out of the playoffs run but as I've stressed, the team playing way beyond expectations. They recently bowed to the team at the bottom, the Minnesota Timberwolves, 83-67 Wednesday night.
They have a solid roster coming into the season. They have brought in some good guys from the draft namely, JamesOn Curry, Aaron Gray, Demetris Nichols, and the entertaining center, Joakim Noah. Not much changes also on the coaching staff.
The Bulls better have rhinoplasty in Chicago in order to improve their nose for the ball. It seems they are playing with very low intensity. Ben Wallace, isn't as active down low as he used to be way back. Running after rebounds and steals is very important especially to a running team like the Bulls. They definitely have the talent needed to be title contenders. They just need to maintain high octane play, and overflowing intensity. Their roster:
JamesOn Curry G Luol Deng F Chris Duhon G Ben Gordon G Aaron Gray C Adrian Griffin G-F Kirk Hinrich G Viktor Khryapa F Demetris Nichols F Joakim Noah F Andres Nocioni F Thabo Sefolosha G Joe Smith F-C Tyrus Thomas F Ben Wallace C

Aging women, especially celebrities are crazy to get eyelid surgery in West Palm Beach or else where! These are women who are very much concious with their face. Or I think it's more appropriate to say that these are women with the mOney! hehehe Eyelid surgery is not exclusive for females though. I have read that every year, one hundred thousand men and women have their eyelids fixed to improve the way they look and for better vision. Ugly, droopy eyelids can make an individual look older and can also affect his/her vision.
I myslef might need one when I get old because with my work and college life, most of the day, I am in front of a computer. Plus, I don't use those monitor filters because I don't like it. Although they say it reduces radiation, etc., I don't care. I also lack sleep. Lately, I think my average sleep is less than 6 hours a day. In time, I'm sure I'll be needing glasses.
Eyelid surgery or "Blepharoplasty," is the process of removing excess fat, muscle and skin from the upper and lower eyelids. As a result, the skin in the eye area becomes firmer, giving that young looking eyes. The surgery can be for functional purposes or cosmetic reasons only.
